Sleep Apnea Treatment
Sleep apnea treatment is a service that diagnoses and treats sleep apnea. At „New Hospitals“, sleep apnea is diagnosed using polysomnography, which is a study of sleep disorders and sleep apnea. Polysomnography is conducted overnight while the patient sleeps, monitoring brain electrical impulses, blood oxygen levels, chest movements, and breathing patterns, as well as observing eye and leg movements.
Sleep Apnea Treatment
Treatment for sleep apnea includes lifestyle changes, surgery, and/or continuous positive airway pressure CPAP therapy, which is used for obstructive sleep apnea.
During CPAP therapy, a portable device is used while sleeping, providing continuous positive airway pressure to keep the airways open during sleep. Air is delivered either through the nose or via a mask.
The device controls the volume of inhaled and exhaled air and can detect narrowing or obstruction of the patient’s airways. Additionally, it senses inhalation and provides the necessary pressure when needed.
CPAP Therapy for Sleep Apnea Treatment
CPAP therapy for sleep apnea is available at “New Hospitals”. After diagnosing obstructive sleep apnea, the doctor may recommend CPAP therapy. Patients can then consult with a doctor to receive a custom-fitted mask and device settings.
